Hi there, I’m Urvi Patel

Hello and Welcome!

         

I am an educator deeply committed to nurturing a passion for learning among students of all ages. Currently, I hold a dual position as a part-time professor at Niagara University and Conestoga College, alongside my role as an Elementary Educator within the Toronto District School Board and York Region District School Board.

          My educational journey is underpinned by a robust academic foundation, culminating in a Master of Science in Education specializing in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. Presently, I am engaged in doctoral studies, pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Policy at Niagara University, New York. My doctoral research centers on the investigation of absenteeism and the various factors influencing post-secondary access within the province of Ontario, Canada.

          Motivated by an enduring enthusiasm for learning, I am dedicated to cultivating positive and supportive relationships with my students and their families. Guided by the principles of Carol Dweck's growth mindset theory, I firmly believe in the transformative potential of diligence and perseverance in developing individual capabilities. As a certified Ontario Teacher qualified for Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Divisions, I bring a wealth of practical experience to diverse educational environments, striving to foster inclusive and enriching learning experiences for all.
